Pastor Ruby Jean Daniels-Wilson, 67, of Monticello, passed away on July 31, 2017 at CHI St. Vincent Medical Center in Little Rock.
She was born in Lacey (Drew County) on February 9, 1950 to Onnie Lee Daniels and the late, Kelsie Daniels.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Rev. Royce Dale Wilson, Sr.; her brother, Loman Daniels and her sister, Dorothy Daniels-McCray.
A 1968 graduate of Drew Central High School, she attended Great River Vocational School in McGehee (UAM College of Technology). She was employed at Monticello School District, Hood Packing Co. and Burlington Industries for 30 years. Ruby was a member of Holy Divine Spiritual Church and Pastor of the Great I Am Temple of Monticello. She had a great love for God, family, church and friends.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her son, Royce Dale Wilson, Jr. of Monticello; her mother, Onnie Lee Daniels; three sisters, Mary Foster (Melvin) of Monticello, Judi Sweetenburg (James) and Barbara Cooney (Robert) both of Little Rock; two brothers, Kelsie Daniels, Jr. (Elizabeth) of Pine Bluff and Robert Douglas “Junior” of Monticello; one uncle, Lamar Daniel (Renee) of Sacramento, California; brothers-in law and sisters-in-law, Erston Wilson (Wanda), Earl Wilson, Charles Wilson (Mildred), Nazaree Wilson of Fountain Hill, and Rosetta Daniels of Monticello; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, August 3, at The Holy Divine Spiritual Church in Lacey with burial to follow in Lacey Cemetery.
