Russell Kelley, 44, of Hamburg, died Saturday, November 5, 2016 at his residence.
He was a teacher, softball and basketball coach at the Hamburg School District and a member of the Promise Land Missionary Baptist Church. He loved his friends, sports and working with young people.
Coach Kelley was a native of Crossett. He graduated from Fountain Hill High School in 1990 and the University of Central Arkansas in 1998.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lee S. and Lillie Maude Tumlinson Kelley; his grandfather, Curt Graves; two uncles, John (Simp) Kelley and J. T. Kelley and two aunts, Ruth Graves McDougald and Dorothy K. Clark.
He is survived by his father, Jimmy H. Kelley; his mother and step-father, Betty Graves Adams and Dale Adams, all of Hamburg; his grandmother, Sybil Graves of Crossett and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be held on November 7 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home in Hamburg.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 8 at 10 a.m. at the Promise Land Missionary Baptist Church with Bros. Josh Luellen and Bro. Trey Emory officiating. Burial will be in the Flat Creek Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Lane Chapman, Zachary Jackson, John Spaulding, Steven Hall, Danny Spencer, Cody Wells, Eric Thomas and Joe Halvorson. Honorary pallbearers are Bob Davis, Max Dyson, Scott Stephenson and Donald Rosen.
