Rusty James Savage, 28, of Crossett, died August 8, 2014 at the Ashley County Medical Center.
He was a mobile home mover and was a member of Cloverdale Assembly of God. He enjoyed gospel music, singing, writing poetry and writing about his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He loved watching football, playing basketball, talking to his friends and he also loved to help people.
Mr. Savage was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Boyd Fletcher Savage.
He is survived by his mother, Alisa White of Crossett; his father, Bobby Savage of Crossett; a sister, Sabrina Ann Edwards of Crossett; a niece, Kylie Marie Edwards; his paternal grandmother, Lois Linares of Hamburg; his maternal grandmother, Rosemary Martin of Monticello; his maternal grandfather, Wiley Cecil White, Jr. and his maternal step-grandmother, Sue White of Junction City; and a host of other family, loved ones and friends.
Funeral services will be held August 15 at 2 p.m. at Cloverdale Assembly of God Church with Bros. John Martin and Wylan Piercy officiating. Pallbearers are Joseph Savage, Jerry Lee Savage, B.J. Vail, Nathan Buckles, Noe Rivera and Erik Hill. Burial will be at Flat Creek Cemetery.
Visitation is August 14 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Cloverdale Assembly of God Church in Crossett.
