Ruth Ann Raney, 65, of Warren, died June 9, 2014 at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock.
She worked more than a decade for Potlatch Lumber Company as a forestry technician helping to invent a super pine tree which is widely grown today. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Raney was born September 13, 1948 at Gould and was the daughter of the late Finnis Dennis and Martha Ruth Adams Dennis.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Frieta Priest.
Mrs. Raney is survived by her husband, George Raney of Warren; two sons, George F. “Bo” Raney and wife Pat of Crossett and Andrew Jess Raney of Warren; two daughters, Georgia Ann Raney of Star City and Suzanna Stinnett of Bearden; five brothers, Dewayne Dennis of McGehee, Lonnie Dennis of Pine Bluff, Lawrence Dennis of South Carolina, Larry Dennis of White Hall and Roy Dennis of Dover; a sister, Sue Smith of Rison; and four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held June 14 at 2 p.m. at Oakland Cemetery in Warren. Visitation is June 13 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Frazer’s Funeral Home in Warren.
