Ruth Olive Stever Trotter, 97, of Crossett passed away on August 21, 2014 at Stonegate Villa Nursing Home in Crossett.
She was a retired school cafeteria worker of 23 years with Crossett School System and was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Crossett.
Mrs. Trotter always had a smile, a funny joke, a song to sing and a story to tell. She enjoyed all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was born August 16, 1917 to the late Earnest Ellsworth Stever and Zeppie Pearl Shetterly Stever.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Virgil (Dock) Trotter; her son Gary K. Trotter; a brother, James Stever and sister, Ruby LaGrone.
Mrs. Trotter is survived by three daughters, Dolores Eastwood and her husband Carl of Florence, Wisconsin, Rosemary Fryer and husband Jerry of Crossett and Bonnie Crain and husband James of Hamburg; twelve grandchildren, Tanya Trotter, Heather Eastwood, Shana Trotter, Scott Porter, Chris Lyons, Kara Crain Jenkins, Derrick Lyons, Melody Mattson, Kelley Fryer, John Fryer, Alex Fryer and David Fryer and ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation is August 24 from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Stephenson Dearman Funeral Home in Monticello. Funeral services will be held August 25 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Campground Cemetery on Campground Road in Drew County.
