Samuel Eugene McCay, 89, of Crossett, passed away on June 7, 2015 at Cornerstone Hospital in West Monroe, Louisiana.
Mr. McCay was a WWII Navy veteran and retired from Georgia Pacific serving in Quality Control. He enjoyed fishing and going to the beach with his family on vacations. He was a charter member of the Presbyterian Church of Crossett. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and one sister.
He was born on January 20, 1926 in Green Hill, Arkansas and was the son of the late Robert F. and Ethel Walton McCay.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Survivors include his wife, Betty McCay of Crossett; two sons, Scotty (Judy) McCay and Andy McCay, all of Crossett; two brothers, George McCay of Crossett, David McCay of Colorado; one sister, Mary Frances Terrell of North Little Rock; four grandchildren, Angie Bass, Kelly Dumas, Caitlin McCay, Joshua McCay and three great-grandchildren, Sydney Dumas, Ashleigh Letterman and Austin Letterman.
Graveside services will be held on June 11 at 10:30 a.m. at Crossroads Cemetery with Bro. Toby Austin officiating under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett.
Visitation will be held June 10 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
