Sarah Allene Jacobs, 93, of Pine Bluff, passed away on June 16, 2017 at the Davis Life Center in Pine Bluff.

She was born on July 30, 1923 at Rowher and was the daughter of the late L. C. Ryals and Mary Alice Williams Ryals.

She was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, a retired seamstress and a member of the Hawley Memorial United Methodist Church in Pine Bluff. She was also a member of the Pines Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star #517 and American Legion Post #32. She was inducted into the Women’s U.S. Army Corps in 1944 and received an honorable medical discharge the same year. She was Past Matron of the Lake Village Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, lifetime member of Mississippi State University Alumni Association.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Willie Ryals, Lester Ryals, Felix Ryals and Otis Ryals and sisters, Eunice Ryals, Lorene Walters, Johnnie Ryals, Robbie Ryals and Bobbie Ryals.

She is survived by her daughter, Denise Reichen, and granddaughter, Haleigh Reichen, both of Pine Bluff.

A graveside service with military honors will be held on Monday, June 26 at 11 a.m. at the Little Rock National Cemetery.
