Enhancing Sport Performance (ESP) will conduct a series of “Playmaker Camps” on July 14 at the Indoor Practice Facility at the University of Arkansas at Monticello.

Camps include the Championship Speed Camp and the FUNdamentals Lineman Camp. Each camp will be led by a trio of accomplished southeast Arkansas football players.

The Championship Speed Camp will be conducted by Joe Carmical and Brishen Matthews. The purpose of this camp is to help each athlete to maximize speed and agility. Both Carmical and Matthews were integral contributors to Monticello’s 2009 undefeated state championship football team. Carmical was awarded a football scholarship to Texas Tech University, and now plays defensive end at the University of Central Arkansas. Matthews is a defensive back at the University of Mississippi.

The FUNdamentals Lineman Camp will be conducted by Seth Oxner. This camp will help each camper to be a better football lineman via numerous drills and skills to improve first-step quickness and body balance/control. Oxner was a highly decorated lineman as a Billie, and has played football collegiately at the University of Arkansas and the University of Arkansas at Monticello.

The cost for each camp is $10. The Championship Speed camp schedule is as follows: grades 7-9 will be from 8 until 10 a.m. and grades 10-12 will be from 10 a.m. until noon. The FUNdamentals Lineman Camp schedule is as follows: grades 10-12 will be from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. and grades 7-9 will be from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. For registration forms or more information, contact ESP Camp Director Nat Grubbs at 870-367-1548.
