The National Weather Service has issued a Significant Weather Advisory until midnight for Bradley and Drew counties: At 11:15 p.m., Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Hermitage to near Ingalls to 9 miles northeast of Lapile. Movement was east at 50 mph. Locations impacted include Monticello, Wilmar, Hermitage, Johnsville, Green Hill, Ladelle, Ingalls, Prairie Grove, Lacey, New Hope in Drew County, Valley, Carmel, Enon, Collins, Vick, Blanchton, Mt Olive in Bradley County and Sumpter.

Saturday, 10:59 p.m. The National Weather Service in Jackson, has issued a  Severe Thunderstorm Warning for… northwestern Chicot County. At 10:59 p.m., a severe thunderstorm was located near Rohwer, moving east at 55 mph.

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning remains in effect until 11:30 for eastern Drew County and southern Desha County. At 10:57 p.m., severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Kelso to near Lucca Landing to near McGehee and 10 miles northwest of Dermott, moving east at 50 mph.

A Tornado Warning is in effect until 10:45 p.m. for northwestern Drew County. At 10:22 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located 2 miles southwest of Monticello, moving east at 35 mph.

A Tornado Warning is in effect until 10:45 p.m. for northeastern Bradley, southeastern Cleveland County, northwestern Drew County and southeastern Lincoln County. At 10:12 p.m., a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near 9 miles north of Warren, moving east at 40 mph. Another area of rotation was being monitored farther south toward Wilmar, and was headed toward Monticello.

The National Weather Service in Little Rock has issued a Tornado Warning until 10:45 for northeastern Bradley County, southeastern Cleveland County, northwestern Drew County and southwestern Lincoln County. At 9:57 p.m., a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located 8 miles north of Warren moving northeast at 40 mph.

A Tornado Warning is in effect until 9:30 p.m. for northern Desha County, east central Lincoln County and southeast Arkansas County. At 9:08 p.m., a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Mitchellville, or near Dumas, moving east at 50 mph.

Saturday, 8:07 p.m. The National Weather Service in Little Rock has issued a Tornado Warning until 9 p.m. for northeastern Desha County, southeastern Monroe County, southeastern Jefferson County, northeastern Lincoln County and central Arkansas County. At 8:07 p.m., a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located 13 miles north of Star City, moving east at 45 mph.

The National Weather Service in Little Rock has issued a Tornado Warning until 8:45 p.m. for northeastern Bradley County, southeastern Cleveland County, northwestern Drew County and southwestern Lincoln County. At 7:56 p.m., a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located 11 miles northwest of Warren, moving east at 45 mph.

Tornado Warning is in effect until 8 p.m. for northwestern Bradley, south central Cleveland and northeastern Calhoun counties. A severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Hampton, moving east at 40 mph.

Saturday, 7:29 p.m.
A Tornado Warning is in effect until 7:45 p.m. for central Cleveland, southeastern Grant, northeastern Dallas and southwestern Jefferson counties. At 7:29 p.m., a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Rison, moving east at 40 mph.

Saturday, 3:20 P.M.
The National Weather Service has issued a  Tornado Watch until 11 p.m. for Ashley, Bradley, Cleveland, Chicot, Desha, Drew, Lincoln, Arkansas, Calhoun, Ouachita, Dallas, Jefferson, Union, Clark, Columbia, Faulkner, Garland, Grant, Hempstead, Hot Spring, Howard, Jackson, Lafayette, Little River, Lonoke, Miller, Monroe, Montgomery, Nevada, Perry, Pike, Pulaski, Saline, Sevier,  White and Woodruff counties.

 

Thunderstorms will be possible over the much of the state Saturday, some of which could be strong to severe.

The highest risk of severe storms will be over the southeastern half of Arkansas, mainly from afternoon through the overnight hours. Primary hazards will include very large hail and damaging winds and a couple tornadoes.

Additionally, heavy rainfall may pose a flash flooding threat. Storms over the southeast will tend to form and train over the same areas for last several hours. Rain in these areas could become excessive with flash flooding possible.
