5:05 p.m. – The Tornado Warning for central Desha County will expire at 5:15 p.m. The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe limits, and no longer appears capable of producing a tornado. Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire. However gusty winds and heavy rain are still possible with this thunderstorm.

5 p.m. – .A TORNADO WARNING remains in effect until 5:15 p.m. for central Desha County.

At 5 p.m., a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Kelso, or 7 miles east of Rohwer, moving northeast at 45 mph.

4:45 p.m. – The National Weather Service has issued a  Severe Thunderstorm Warning until 5:45 p.m. for northern Chicot County.

At 4:45 p.m., a severe thunderstorm was located over McMillan Corner, near Lake Village, moving northeast at 45 mph.

4:39 p.m. –  A TORNADO WARNING remains in effect until 5:15 p.m. for central Desha County. At 4:38 p.m., a confirmed tornado was located over McGehee, moving northeast at 40 mph. Weather spotters confirmed tornado.

4:30 p.m. – A TORNADO WARNING is in effect until 5:15 p.m. for east central Drew County and southern Desha County.

At 4:30 p.m., a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near McGehee, or near Dermott, moving northeast at 45 mph.

Radar indicated rotation. Storm spotters have reported a persistent rotating wall cloud with this storm. Locations impacted include Tillar, McGehee, Rohwer, Baxter, Kelso, McArthur, Masonville and Lucca Landing.

4:08 p.m. – A TORNADO WARNING remains in effect until 4:30 p.m. for southeast Drew County.

At 4:07 p.m., a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located 7 miles east of Ladelle, or 13 miles west of Dermott, moving northeast at 45 mph.

Radar indicated rotation. A storm spotter in Jerome reported a persistent lowering wall cloud under the updraft region of this thunderstorm. Locations impacted include Baxter, Enon, Collins and Selma.

3:50 p.m. – The National Weather Service in Little Rock has issued a TORNADO WARNING for southern and eastern Drew County until 4:30 p.m.

At 3:48 p.m., a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Fountain Hill, or 8 miles north of Hamburg, moving northeast at 45 mph. Locations impacted include Tillar, Ladelle, Prairie Grove, Baxter, Collins, Enon, Lacey and Selma.

6:20 a.m. – The Tornado Warning for northeastern Desha County is cancelled, according to the National Weather Service in Little Rock.

The tornadic thunderstorm which prompted the warning has moved out of the warned area. Therefore, the warning has been cancelled.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1 p.m. for Southeast Arkansas.

6:06 a.m. – A TORNADO WARNING remains in effect until 6:45 a.m. for northeastern Desha County.

A severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Trusten Holder WMA, or 11 miles northwest of Rosedale, moving northeast at 45 mph.

5:55 a.m. – The National Weather Service in Little Rock issued a TORNADO WARNING for northeastern Desha County and southeastern Arkansas County until 6:45 a.m.

At 5:54 a.m., a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Yancopin, or 12 miles north of Rohwer, moving northeast at 40 mph.

5:23 a.m. – The National Weather Service issued a TORNADO WARNING until 6 a.m. northern Drew, southeastern Lincoln, northern Desha, and south central Arkansas counties Southeast Arkansas.

At 5:21 a.m., a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located 7 miles west of Winchester, or 10 miles southwest of Dumas, moving northeast at 45 mph. Take Cover Now! Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

Wednesday Hazardous Weather Outlook

Multiple rounds of severe weather are expected today and early tonight. Large hail, damaging winds and tornadoes will be possible. The main concern will be over central and eastern Arkansas this afternoon and early this evening, where a few tornadoes could be strong. Locally heavy rainfall will also be possible.
