A registered sex offender was arrested Wednesday by the Drew County Sheriff’s Office for failure to notify authorities that he had moved from Monticello to Lake Village.

Jeremy N. Hill, 26, was arrested after the Drew County Sheriff’s Office received information that the Monticello residence where he was registered to have been living is vacant, according to a news release from the Drew County Sheriff’s Office.

Hill told authorities he had been living “off and on” in Lake Village because his electricity had been disconnected, according to the news release.

Sex offenders are required to notify local law enforcement of any change of address within 10 days of the change.
