He attended Drew High School and was employed with M & M Trucking of Hamburg, where he was known as “Buck Man”. He made a choice to serve spiritually at the House of Transformation.
Mr. Veasey was was born June 13, 1952 in Lacey and was the son of the late Clara and Sterling Veasey, Sr.
He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Sterling Veasey, Jr., Curtis Lee Veasey, E. Jimmy Veasey and R. D. Daniels; and his sisters, Mattie Lou Perkins, Nellie Jean Spencer and Lucille Prosper.
Survivors are his wife of 23 years, Marianne Veasey; two children, Christi Veasey Berry of Monticello and Johnathan Robinson of Branson, Mo.; three grandchildren, Justin Berry, DeMarcus Berry and Ziyiahe Robinson; three sisters, Betty Wright of California, Annie Garrett and Hattie Veasey both of Michigan City, Iowa; two brothers, Johnny Veasey of Michigan City, Iowa and Joe Veasey of Monticello; special friends, Michael Oliver and Ray Vincent and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Visitation will be January 27 from 6 p.m.until 7 p.m. at Stephenson Dearman Funeral Home. Funeral services will be January 28 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Norris Hill Cemetery at Fountain Hill.
