Shaquita Anne Smith, 29 of Jacksonville, Fla., formerly of Crossett, died May 2, 2014 in Jacksonville.
She was a native of Crossett and resided in Jacksonville for the past nine months where she was employed by McDonald’s.
Shaquita enjoyed listening to music, reading, talking on the phone and being on her computer.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lillie Mae Jacobs and her father, Jerrel D. Smith.
She is survived by two daughters, Trinitee Burton and Essence Smith of Jacksonville, Fla.; a brother, Mickey Tate of Hamburg; two sisters, LaQuicia Paskel, husband L.V., Jr. and Daphne Cromwell all of Crossett, and a host of other family, loved ones and friends.
Visitation is May 13 from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Cromwell Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held May 14 at 1 p.m. at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Horace Ingram, officiating. Active pallbearers are Chris, Lavoris and Anthony Lincoln, Wayne and Thomas Williams and Kenneth Russell. Honorary pallbearers are Tony Johnson, Thomas Jacobs, Willie Cooper, J.C. Boyd and Mickey Tate. Burial will be at Phillip Grove Cemetery.
