Sibyl Ogden Hutts, 85, of Monroe, Louisiana, formerly of Hamburg, died on October 20, 2015 at the St. Francis Specialty Hospital in Monroe.
She was the former administrator of the Hamburg Nursing Home, a member of the Lea Joyner United Methodist Church in Monroe, Louisiana and a former member of the Hamburg United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Hutts was a native of Hamburg and former resident of Crossett, Hugo, Oklahoma and Kabul, Afghanistan. She graduated from Hamburg High School and she graduated from the University of Arkansas at Monticello with a degree in Psychology and Business.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jessie J. Ogden and A.C. Hutts; a son, Patrick Wayne Ogden; her parents, Abner and Alice Louise Jones Deal; two sisters, Madonna Sue Deal and Jolaine Deal Crouch and a brother, Harold Deal.
She is survived by a son, Mike Ogden and wife, Donna, of Hamburg; a daughter-in-law, Melaine Ogden of Jonesboro, Louisiana; two brothers, James and Jerry Deal both of Crossett; three sisters, Linda Kelley and Martha Pennington both of Hamburg and Rosemary Martin of Monticello; two granddaughters, Stephanie Knight of Ruston, Louisiana and Haley Rice of Memphis; three great-grandchildren, Laura, Larissa and Rebecca and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on October 22 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home in Hamburg.
Funeral services will be held on October 23 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Greg Comer officiating. Burial will be in Pinewood Memorial Park.
Pallbearers are Jerry Skender, Cliff Ladd, Trapper Holland, Bobby Griffin, Al Harrison and Greyson Shaffer.
