Sierra’Li Nicole Wade, 18, of Lake Village got her wings Monday, November 25, 2019 at Chicot Memorial Medical Center in Lake Village.
Si was born on January 11, 2001, in San Diego, California, the daughter of the late Bobby Wade and Girlie Balhin.
She was a student at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and a graduate of Lakeside High School. She was so very proud of her accomplishments and becoming a member of the UAPB Lady Lions basketball team. She was also on her way to becoming a second lieutenant in the ROTC with plans to join the U.S. Army after college.
In addition to her father, Si was preceded in death by her great grandmother, Lilia Balhin.
She is survived by her mother, Girlie Balhin; stepmother, Sabrina Nelson; stepfather, Kenny Watts Sr., two sisters, Kimora’lie Watts and Auntreana Wade; eight brothers, Ladarius Jackson, Kentory Watts, Deonte’ Balhin, Alexzander Wade, Kenny Watts. Jr., Darius Wade, Braiden Wade, and Byron Wade; grandmother, Eleanor Ryan; grandfather, Henry Wade, Sr.; grandmother, Lucile Wilson; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation will be Sunday, December 1, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Bishop-King Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, December 2 at Central Community Center in Lake Village, with Rev. Arthur Haney officiating. Burial will be in Woodson Temple Cemetery in Lake Village.
