The Drew County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a van accident that sent six adult students to the hospital with minor injuries, according to a news release from the Drew County Sheriff’s Office.

Monday morning around 8 a.m. the driver of an Advantages school van lost control of the vehicle on Arkansas 172 at the Lacey-New Hope Road intersection. The van rolled onto its side, injuring six adult students. The students were transported to Drew Memorial Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, according to the news release.

Advantages of Southeast Arkansas, is a private, nonprofit agency that provides services to persons with developmental delays or disabilities. It is located in Monticello and has provided services in Southeast Arkansas since 1971.
