Star City High School and Jimmy Brown Elementary School students are among students from schools in 10 South Arkansas counties who will have art on display this month at the 2014 Southeast Arkansas Regional Art Show at the University of Arkansas at Monticello Fine Arts Center.
The art exhibit, which runs from March 10 through April 6, will feature artwork from kindergarten through 12th grade students from schools in Ashley, Bradley, Calhoun, Chicot, Cleveland Desha, Drew, Lincoln, Jefferson and Union counties. The event is sponsored by the Arkansas Art Educators Association.
A reception and awards ceremony will be held on April 6 at 2 p.m. The public is invited to attend.
Jimmy Brown Elementary School students who will have artwork included in the exhibit are Jaci Hoyt, KyLeigh Green, Presley Story, Bryleigh Myers, Tyler Crews, Perla Mondragon, JaQuel Callaway, River Patton, Caleb Mullikan, and Annalin Weast. The students are under the instruction of art teacher Suzi Davis.
Star City High School students with artwork in the exhibit are Madison Brown, Katie McTigrit, Caleb Walker, Emily Patrick, Anna Hartsfield, Haley Bishop, Aubrey Gill, Alexis Magana, Colton Rudder, and Morgan Taylor. The Star City High School students are under the instruction of art teacher Roger Darren High.
