The Area 12 Special Olympics Polar Plunge will be held February 15 at Weevil Pond on the University of Arkansas at Monticello campus.
Individuals will raise a minimum of $50 each then plunge in the chilly water to benefit Special Olympics. Plungers may plunge solo or with a group of friends or co-workers. If plunging with a team, each team member must raise at least $50.
Registration is at 10:30 a.m. The awards ceremony is at 11:30 a.m. and the plunge is at noon.
There will also be a desert auction and chili sale at 10:30 a.m. All you can eat bowl(s) of chili is $5.
