The Drew County Salvation Army and Hope Place recently received $2,000 checks from St. Mark’s Catholic Church.

“Our parish likes to lend support to local agencies in which the members of our parish are involved,” said Fr. Rajasekhar Chappidi, pastor of St. Mark’s. “Both these organizations have social service missions important to us as Catholics and we plan to continue the support provided over the years.”

Chappidi is pictured, left, presenting the checks to Justin Miller, chairman of the Drew County Salvation Army Annual Kettle Drive, and Nancy Miller, president of Hope Place. Miller and former Hope Place board member Betty Beckham are both members of St. Mark’s.
