Five Star City School District students from Jimmy Brown Elementary School and Star City High School will have their artwork included in the 2017 Arkansas Art Educators State Art Show.

Artwork by Jimmy Brown Elementary School first grader Haylie Rhodes and second grader Madelyn Boardman will be included in the state art show.

The Jimmy Brown Elementary School students are under the instruction of art teacher Suzi Davis.

The state art show also includes artwork by Star City High School freshman Kaylee Eifling, sophomore Karley Spivey, and junior Courtney Malone.

The Star City High School students are under the instruction of art teacher Roger Darren High.

The artwork by these students previously won first place at the 2017 Southeast Arkansas K-12 Regional Art Show held at the University of Arkansas-Monticello.

The state show includes all first place artwork from the seven regions of the state.

The 2017 Arkansas Art Educators State Art Show will be held June 10 until August 31 at the Hillary Rodham Clinton Children’s Library & Learning Center, 4800 West 10th Street, Little Rock.

The awards ceremony will be held on June 10 from 2 pm until 4 pm.

The exhibit is sponsored by the Arkansas Art Educators.
