Stephanie Hill has announced her candidacy for Monticello City Council Alderman Ward 2, Position 2, in the May 1 Democratic Primary.
Hill, a native of Southeast Arkansas, graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Arkansas at Monticello and has made Monticello her home for the past 26 years. She has worked for the State of Arkansas for 17 years and is currently a DHS/DDS Program Coordinator/Interim Admissions Coordinator with the Southeast Arkansas Human Development Center in Warren.
Hill has been involved with different youth organizations such as softball, baseball and soccer. She is currently the president of the Monticello Youth Soccer Association.
“If elected, I promise to work diligently to serve the people of my ward and all Citizens of Monticello in the best way I know how,” Hill said. “I believe in doing what is best for the community in all aspects and will continue to strive to do what is right and best for everyone. I look forward to seeking new opportunities to improve our community. It would be my pleasure to be able to serve the citizens and be able to be the voice for the citizens of my ward. I ask for your support in this effort.”
