Stephanie Johnson Harvey, 41 of Monticello, formerly of Star City, died on August 12, 2016, at her home.
She was a retired elementary school teacher who previously taught in the Star City and Camden school districts. She started Punkin’s Pre School at the First United Methodist Church in Star City where she also taught Sunday school for many years.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Monticello and a member of Alpha Sigma Alpha at the University of Arkansas at Monticello. She loved being a “football wife” and most of all being Ryker’s mom.
She was born September 27, 1974 in Pine Bluff and was the daughter of Jerry and Rene’ Thomason Johnson of Monticello, also formerly of Star City.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Randy Harvey of Monticello; son, Ryker Harvey, of Monticello; paternal grandmother, Ima Jean Johnson of Star City; maternal grandmother, Mary Thomason of Star City and many aunts, uncles, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
Services will be held on August 15 at 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Monticello with Bros. Dennis Spence and Buddy Ratliff officiating. Visitation will be August 14 from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Griffin Funeral Service in Star City.
Pallbearers are Taylor Grayson, Robert Wilson Floyd, Leonard Hogg, Brandon Hogg, Bryan Young and Josh Barley. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Monticello.
