Bill Yeargin, president and chief executive officer of Correct Craft, announced Thursday the appointment of Steve Henderson as president of SeaArk Boats.

Henderson has served SeaArk Boats’ vice president of sales for the past 13 years. During that time, he was a key member of the SeaArk executive team who not only developed an outstanding understanding of the aluminum fishing boat market but is also highly respected by SeaArk employees, vendors, and dealers, according to a company news release.

“As my relationship with Steve has developed over the past few months, it became obvious to me that he was the right person to lead SeaArk,” Yeargin said in the news release. “He is respected in the industry and most importantly by the SeaArk team. I look forward to working with him and believe he will do a great job.

“Correct Craft has developed a unique culture that focuses on making life better by valuing people, performance, and philanthropy,” Yeargin said. “The core of this culture is great people and I know Steve will fit in well with our team. The future of SeaArk is bright.”

Henderson said he is thrilled to serve as the new president of SeaArk Boats and looks forward to working with Yeargin and the Correct Craft team to build the company. “The future of SeaArk is extremely promising and our team is excited,” Henderson said. “Correct Craft has an outstanding culture and together we are going to do great things.”

Earlier this week, Correct Craft announced it had acquired the Monticello-based SeaArk Boats from Robin McClendon, the company’s prior owner and member of its founding family.
