Steven Wendell Schuk, 61, of Lake Village passed away on April 6, 2019 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock while surrounded by family and friends.
He worked as a construction project supervisor for Millar, Inc. for more than 35 years before his recent retirement.
Mr. Schuk was avid hunter and fisherman and a natural storyteller who always found a way to make others laugh. He loved history and was always a great problem solver.
He was born in Greenville, Mississippi on January 22, 1958 to his parents, Emmett Lloyd Schuk and Lois Payne Schuk. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his childhood sweetheart and wife of 40 years, Sandra Schuk of Lake Village; his daughter, Samantha Martin of Jonesboro; his son, Brandon Schuk of Gainesville, Florida; his sister, Anita Hemphill of Parker, Colorado; two brothers, Mike Schuk of Hernando, Mississippi and Greg Schuk of Springfield, Missouri; and two grandsons, Caleb and Jacob Martin.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 13 at Bishop-King Funeral Home in Lake Village. His wishes were to be cremated and have his ashes buried in his family’s plot at Oak Grove Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Lake Village.
