The Drew County Sheriff’s Office is looking for leads in the Tuesday night theft of a boat and trailer, stolen from an area on the Hunger Run side of Lake Monticello, according to a news release from the Drew County Sheriff’s Office.

The boat is described as a red and black 1998 Javelin bass boat with a 175-horsepower motor, two depth-finders and a trolling motor.

“The owner, who had a flat on his trailer while leaving the lake, parked his boat and trailer on a nearby turn road while he went to go get his spare tire from home,” Lt. Tim Nichols explained in the news release. “When he returned, approximately 45 minutes later, his boat was gone from the location where he left it.”

The theft occurred late Tuesday night.

Nichols said anyone with information about the stolen boat, trailer and accessories is asked to call the Drew County Sheriff’s Office at 870-367-6211.
