Sixth grade art students at the Monticello Middle School created batik quilt squares for a Meals on Wheels quilt raffle.

Sherry Knight’s students created the squares which were given to Beverly Sullivan to make a quilt top before it was passed on to Paula Hooks who quilted it into the final product. Sullivan and Hooks donated their services.

The students are now selling raffle tickets for quilt. The tickets are $1 each or $5 for seven tickets. Tickets may be purchased at Monticello Middle School, either at the office or Knight’s room. The quilt is on display at the school.

All proceeds will go to Meals on Wheels or the Monticello Senior Citizens Center.
