The body of a Warren woman who disappeared nine days ago was found Sunday in a grave near the home of a Monticello man known to be an acquaintance of the missing woman, according to State Police.
Tangela Walton, 36, was reported missing by her family on April 5 after failing to return home.
A suspect in Walton’s death directed authorities to the grave where her body was uncovered and later transported to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory.
The lab will conduct an autopsy of the body to determine manner and cause of the death.
The suspect is being held pending a first appearance hearing and the filing of formal charges Monday. State Police did not identify the suspect.
