Sylvia Jean Walker-Buchler, 70, of Crossett, passed away on July 31, 2020.
She was born on January 11, 1950 in Detroit, Michigan to her mother, Reba Merglewski. She was the sales manager at KAGH for over 20 years before she retired. During that time, she was a member of the Crossett Chamber of Commerce and the Hamburg Rotary Club, serving as president at one point. She loved gardening, crafting, being outdoors and camping. Her greatest love was spending time with her family and being with loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Cindy Segler; grandmother, Elizabeth Walker and two great grandchildren, Liam and Eli Osiecki.
Sylvia has left to cherish her memory is her husband of 30 years, George Buchler; four sons, Richard Osiecki (Jenna) of Alamogordo, New Mexico, George Buchler, II (Amanda) of Monroe, Louisiana, Michael Buchler (Brandi) of Hamburg, and Mickey Buchler of Hamburg; one daughter; Amanda Kelley (Josh) of Gloster, Louisiana; son-in-law, Jim Segler of Rice, Minnesota; one sister, Laura Podczervinski of Otisville, Michigan; twelve grandchildren, Amber Segler, Richard Osiecki, Reese Osiecki, Alexis Oliver, Shelby Buchler, Jenna Kate Buchler, Caleb Kelley, Isabel Oliver, Bryson Buchler, Elizabeth Kelley, Sterling Zolman and Wyatt Zolman; three great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Graveside services will be held Friday, August 7 at 2 p.m. at Carlock Cemetery in Hamburg with Rev. Bob Davis officiating.
Pallbearers are Jim Segler, Richard Osiecki, Josh Kelley, George Buchler, Michael Buchler, Mickey Buchler, Caleb Kelley and Bryson Buchler.
Visitation will be held Thursday, August 6 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home.
