Teretha Sanders, 63, of Portland, died Saturday, December 21, 2013 at her residence. She was a lifelong resident of Portland, a retired teacher for Hamburg School District and was a member of Unity Temple COGIC.
Mrs. Sanders was preceded in death by one daughter, Antoinette Sanders; her parents, Terry and Birdo Jackson Moseby; and one brother, John Moseby.
She graduated from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles and writing poetry.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Thomas “T.C.” Sanders, Jr.; one son, Otis Sanders of Conway; three daughters, Michelle Dunbar, husband Tim of Portland, Shawna Tamakloe, husband Gilbert of Lawrenceville, Ga., and Terri Holley, husband Lee of Maumelle; four brothers, Earl Moseby, (wife Yvette) and Terry Moseby, Jr., of Oakland, Calif., Roscoe Moseby of Richmond, Calif., and Lloyd Moseby of Granite Bay, Calif.; three sisters, Bettye Bunton of Richmond, Calif., Mae Robinson of Nashville, Tenn., and Chantel Moseby of Crossett; eight grandchildren, dearest friend Sarah Moseby of Montrose, and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives, friends and loved ones.
Funeral services will be at Portland United Methodist Church on December 28 at 11 a.m. with Eld. Johnnie Winfield, Sr., officiating.
Active pallbearers are Eugene Holmes, David Robinson, Leo Bell, Edward Moseby, Jr., Leo Griggs and Charles Bynum. Honorary pallbearers are Otis Sanders, Tim Dunbar, Gilbert Tamakloe, Jarrod Brown, OJ Sanders, Sterling Tamakloe & Oscar Tamakloe. Burial in Portland #2 Cemetery under the directions of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg.
