Terrance Allen Smith, 27, of Monticello passed away on October 26, 2014 at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello.
He was a 2005 honor graduate of Drew Central High School and a graduate of Southern Arkansas University Tech where he earned an Associate of Applied Science degree in multi-media technology and an audio video degree.
Mr. Smith was employed with the Arkansas Department of Correction in Dermott and owned TS Production.
He was born on January 13, 1987 and was the son of Charles Darrell Smith and Patricia Ann Campbell-Smith.
He was preceded in death by Annie Bess Molton, great-grandmother, Davis Molton, great-grandfather, Daisy Cox-Bullock, great-grandmother, Eddie Campbell, grandfather, Leo Everett, grandfather and Ruthie Lee Robertson Smith, grandmother.
Terrance confessed his hope and belief in Christ at the age of 13 at Evening Star Missionary Baptist Church in McGehee under the leadership of Rev. Leroy Hood, Sr. He joined the Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church of Monticello in 2006 under the leadership of the Rev. Hood. He remained a faithful member of Zion Hill Missionary Baptist until his death.
His memory will be cherished by his father, Charles Smith; his mother, Patricia Smith both of Monticello; a brother, Brandon Smith, Sr. of Monticello; a nephew, Brandon Smith, Jr. of Little Rock; his fiancé, Brittany Banks of Monticello; two close cousins, Sheena Cox of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Darian Everett of Monticello; two grandmothers, Azzie Lee Molton of McGehee and Joe Mae Everett of Monticello; a grandfather, Melvin Smith of McGehee and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and other relatives.
A funeral service will be held on November 1 at 11 a.m. at Zion Hill Baptist Missionary Baptist Church.
