Theresa Jeannine Catalani, 78, of Lake Village, passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at Chicot Memorial Medical Center.
She was born on November 28, 1939 to the late Adolph N. Catalani and Marie Cingolani Catalani. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Josetta Pace.
Theresa was a retired bookkeeper for over 40plus years for Barton’s Lumber Company in Lake Village. She was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church where she enjoyed being a part of the Vacation Bible Schools and the Altar Society. She also played a big role in St. Mary’s Catholic School as a teacher’s aide and helped in the cafeteria. She also loved to help out at the Lake Village food pantry.
Survivors are two sisters, Linda (Richard) Steinheil of Wagoner, Oklahoma and Debbie (Chris) Millwee of Spring, Texas; one brother, Ned (Shirley) Catalani of Lake Village; eight nieces, Karen French, Susan Mencer, Tara Gladden, Heather Reed, Jennifer Steinheil, Amy Sherman, Melinda Stephens, and Micah Davis; five nephews, Scott and John Pace, Nicholas Steinheil, Christopher Millwee, and Jacob Millwee; and a host of great nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 11 from 5-6 p.m. at Bishop-King Funeral Home Chapel with rosary service following. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. on December 12, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Father Theophillus Okpara as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Isadore Cemetery in Lake Village under the direction of Bishop-King Funeral Home of Lake Village.
