Two men were airlifted to a Little Rock hospital and one is being treated at an Ashley County hospital following a Sunday afternoon shooting at Pine Street Park in Hamburg.

Hamburg Police Chief Tommy Breedlove said one man was struck in the back by gunfire, one was struck in the hip, and another was struck in the leg during some sort of dispute at the park. The shooting occurred around 3:20 p.m.

Breedlove said there were groups of people from Hamburg, Crossett and Wilmot at the park but it is not clear what led to the shooting. Arkansas State Police have been called in to assist in the investigation and were interviewing witnesses early Sunday evening.

Breedlove referred additional questions to State Police spokesman Bill Sadler who said Sunday night that he doesn’t have the names of the victims.

No arrests had been made as of 8 p.m. Sunday.
