Timothy M. Gilbert, 54, of Crossett, passed away on January 29, 2015 at his residence.

He was a supervisor at Georgia Pacific and a member of Beulahland Assembly of God Church where he served as a deacon.

Mr. Gilbert was a loving husband and father and an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed coaching and mentoring young athletes.

He was born on September 11, 1960 at Hampton and was the son of James H. and Nina McDaniel Gilbert.

Survivors include his wife of 19 years, Stephanie Gilbert of Crossett; two sons, Zach Gilbert and Carson Gilbert, both of Crossett; his parents, James and Nina Gilbert, of Crossett; his father-in-law, Billy Roberts and mother-in-law, Jeanne Roberts; two brothers, Terry Gilbert and wife, Barbie, Paul Gilbert and wife, Jennifer, both of Crossett; a brother-in law, Steven Roberts and wife, Susan of Bastrop, Louisiana; an aunt, Bet Hooks and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be January 31 at 10 a.m. at Beulahland Assembly of God Church with Bro. Rick Tyler officiating. Interment will follow at Crossroads Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett.

Pallbearers are Colby Gilbert, Steven Roberts, Mark Guin, Rea Lucas, Doug Thurman, Phillip Jones, Bryant Moon, Mike Roberts and Shade Gilbert. Honorary pallbearers are Store Room employees, men of the Crossett Booster Club, coaches and players of Crossett baseball, the Davis Ridge Hunting Club, KOB Hunting Club, and the dentists of Ashley County Family Dentistry, Dr. Milton, Dr. Johnston, Dr. Herring and Brandon Jones.
