University of Arkansas at Monticello football player Jalen Tolliver has been selected to the 2016 Don Hansen All-Super Region Three Second-Team.

Tolliver was the only unanimous All-GAC first team selection as a wide-receiver this year.

The junior from Rayville, Louisiana recorded at least one receiving touchdown in 10 straight weeks during the season, with having the streak snapped in week 10 on the road this year. He was also just shy of breaking various Arkansas-Monticello receiving records as well, but was the first Weevil since 2004 to record over 1,000 receiving yards in a season.

Tolliver finished up the 2016 season leading the Great American Conference in multiple receiving categories including receiving touchdowns (14), receiving yards (1,090), receptions (69), receptions per game (6.3), and receiving yards per game (99.1). The junior also finished in the top 25 of these various receiving categories within the NCAA as well.

“This is a tremendous honor for Jalen,” said football coach Hud Jackson said. “Our region has some great players in it and for Jalen to be selected to multiple super region three teams, shows the great talent that he is.”

The Weevils finished the 2016 season with an overall record of 4-7 (4-7 GAC), and will look to continue to build off that improvement heading into the off-season.
