Tommy Lamar Hammil, 48, of Monticello passed away on October 27, 2014 in an automobile accident in Lincoln County.
He was self-employed in the custom construction business and was of the Baptist faith. He had a smile that would light up the world.
Mr. Hammil was born on February 6, 1966 and was the son of Clyde Hammil and Patricia Harris Grant.
Survivors include his wife, Ginger Hunter Hammil of Monticello; five sons, Levi Hammil, Jake Hammil and Logan Camden all of Monticello, Jason Camden of Star City and Noah Word of Dumas; two daughters, Ashley Via of Star City and Lexy Meeks of Monticello; his mother Patricia Harris Grant and stepfather, Gary of Warren; his father, Clyde Hammil and wife Kaye of Crossett; two sisters, Diane Hartness of Monticello and Amanda Jenkins and husband Shawn of Mer Rouge, Louisiana; five granddaughters, two grandsons and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
