Travis E. Ivey, 81, of Warren, died on May 26, 2015 at his home.

He was a retired United States Marine Corps veteran who served as a gunnery sergeant in Vietam. He also retired from Jack Winters manufacturing after 20 years of service.

Mr. Ivey was a member and deacon of Westside Baptist Church. He was a Sunday school teacher and enjoyed playing music with his family and friends.

He was born May 20, 1934 at Ingalls and was the son of the late Almoth “Diggie” Ivey and Barbara Nelson Ivey.

Also preceding him in death was a brother Danny Ivey and a sister Kathleen Richards.

He is survived by his wife Elois Mann Ivey; a son, John Ivey of Washington, D.C.; a daughter, Lois Ann Ivey Pemberton, Warren; three grandchildren, Mary Pruitt, Jeff Ivey and Gene Hargis; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on May 29 at 2 p.m. at Westside Baptist Church. Burial will be at Outlaw Cemetery.

Visitation is May 28 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Frazer’s Funeral Home in Warren.
