The UAM College of Technology-McGehee will hold a five-day registration April 14-18 for anyone interested in enrolling in the school’s emergency medical technician (EMT) program, according to Sharon Cantrell, assistant vice chancellor of the McGehee campus.

EMTs care for the sick or injured in emergency medical settings.

“People’s lives often depend on their quick reaction and competent care,” said Cantrell. “EMTs and paramedics respond to emergency calls, performing medical services and transporting patients to medical facilities.”

Anyone interested in a career as an EMT should call the UAM COT-McGehee at (870) 222-5360.
