Jordan Goforth, a Plano East High School guard, has signed a national letter of intent to play for the UAM Cotton Blossom next season.

Goforth, who will graduate this spring, averages 13.5 points per game, shooting 43-percent from the field, 45-percent from three-point range, and 80-percent from the free throw line. In addition to her shooting skills she averages six rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.4 steals per game.

Goforth was named to the First Team All-District in both the 09-10 and 10-11 seasons. She made First Team All-Region in 2010-11 after leading her team to a 26-8 record and a Bi-District Championship.

“We are extremely excited to have Jordan become a part of our Cotton Blossoms basketball family,” said UAM women’s basketball coach Tanya Ray. She is a very talented player and will give us some needed size at the guard position. She is hard-nosed, and has the ability to score in a variety of ways. Jordan will be a critical piece to helping us get this program turned back in the right direction.”
