The School of Forestry and Natural Resources at the University of Arkansas at Monticello will host Log-A-Load for Kids August 6 at 6 p.m. in the gymnasium of the John F. Gibson University Center.
The annual fund-raising event benefits the Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock and includes a live auction, silent auction and fish fry. Tickets are $20 and may be purchased at the door.
“The Arkansas Children’s Hospital provides more than just medical treatment for children in need,” said Dr. Robert Ficklin, associate dean of academics in the School of Forestry and Natural Resources. “It also provides hope and support for families during times of great stress. The Log-A-Load for Kids program is one way the forestry community shows its support for the mission and efforts of that hospital. UAM and the School of Forestry and Natural Resources are enthusiastic supporters of the Log-A-Load mission.”
