Parents and family members of University of Arkansas at Monticello students will be special guests of the university September 19 as UAM celebrates Parent-Family Appreciation Day.

The annual event includes a welcome by Interim Chancellor Jay Jones, a tailgate cook-out for parents and familymembers at Weevil Pond, and tickets to the UAM-Arkansas Tech football game at Convoy Leslie Cotton Boll Stadium.

The program begins at 2:15 p.m. with a registration and reception in the Spencer Gallery of the Fine Arts Center. Parents and family members will have the opportunity to visit with UAM faculty and staff and pick up passes to the tailgate cook-out and football game.

As part of Parent-Family Appreciation Day, the UAM library will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. while the university book store will be open from 2 to 6 p.m.
