Two teams of student computer programmers from the University of Arkansas at Monticello captured two of the top three places at the 2014 Arkansas Collegiate Programming Contest held recently at Hendrix College in Conway.

Sponsored annually by the TresNet Division of Acxiom Corporation, the competition featured teams representing colleges and universities throughout the state.

Six teams competing in the Computer Information Systems Division were required to solve eight problems in five hours while 15 teams in the Computer Science Division solved seven problems in the same time period.
