The importance of fathers on the development of children is the focus of a conference being hosted by the University of Arkansas at Monticello on March 4.
The conference, which is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. in the auditorium of the Memorial Classroom Building, is being sponsored by the Academic Partnership for Public Child Welfare Program, a part of the UAM School of Social and Behavioral Sciences.
Featured speaker for the event is Linda Patterson, strengthening families specialist from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Patterson will discuss the role of fathers in child development and offer suggestions to help fathers raise their children.
