The University of Arkansas at Monticello will offer two series of sports psychology workshops in October, November and February for coaches, teachers, athletic trainers and community members interested in athletics.
The first series of workshops will be held October 30, November 6 and November 13 from 6 to 8 p.m. in Willard Hall, room 218, on the UAM campus. Cost for all three dates is $150. A second series of workshops will be held February 5, 12 and 19, also from 6 to 8 p.m. in Willard Hall at a cost of $150.
The workshops will be taught by Dr. Dwayne Massey, assistant professor of education. Massey teaches strength and conditioning, sports administration, sports psychology, and principles and theories of coaching at the undergraduate level and also teaches advanced courses in the school’s master’s degree programs. Massey, who played football at the University of Southern Mississippi, holds three degrees from the Hattiesburg school – a B.S., M.S.W., and Ed.D.
