University of Arkansas at Monticello women’s golfer Leah Rowe won the Badger Invitational Tuesday at the Robert Trent Jones Magnolia Grove Crossings Course in Mobile, Alabama. As a team, the Blossoms finished in third place shooting a combined 952 in the three rounds.

UAM shot 952 (+88) in three rounds, led by Rowe, Celestine Nawa and Ouname Mhotsha.

Rowe was impressive throughout the event shooting a 74 (+2) in round one, 72 (E) in round two and a 70 (-2) in the final round. She shot seven strokes better than second-place finisher Hannah Choi from Henderson State University. Rowe’s 70 in the final round is an individual UAM women’s golf record. It was the second time this year she’s claimed first place at an event.

Nawa tied for 16th with an 83 (+11), an 80 (+8) in round two and a 79 (+7) in her final round. Mhotsha tied for 18th, shooting an 83 (+11) in round one and 81 (+9) in the final two rounds.

Other Blossom competitors were Belle Tan, Skylar Mast and Cameron Seboa. Tan was tied for 27th combining to shoot 252 (+36). Mast was 29th shooting 254 (+38), while Seboa was 31st shooting a combined 258 (+42).

The Blossoms third-place finish is tied for their best finish this season. They also placed third in the Oklahoma Baptist Invitational.

UAM will host an event next month on March 16-17 at the Dancing Rabbit Golf Course in Philadelphia, Mississippi.
