Cell phone users began getting text messages Wednesday afternoon saying that their Union Bank card had been deactivated and provided a contact number. The text message is some sort of scam, the bank did not send the message. Anyone who called the number and provided information or who has questions about the text message, call Union Bank at 460-6400. The contact number in the text message is no longer working, but save yourself some time and trouble and don’t call it. Never give personal information to anyone over the telephone.

The bogus text message:
UNION BANK ALERT: Your CARD has been DEACTIVATED. Please contact us at 870-776-8563.
