A Cleveland County woman died Friday when the van she was driving was struck by a train.
According to an Arkansas State Police preliminary report, Nahdyne R. Estes, 63, of New Edinburg, failed to stop at a railroad crossing on Maple Street in Kingsland and the northbound 2005 Chrysler van she was driving traveled into the path of a westbound train. The train struck the rear right side of the van.
Estes died at the scene of the accident.
The crash occurred Friday at 7:45 p.m. The weather was clear and the roadway was dry.
