Virginia Graves, 88, of Monticello, passed away on July 6, 2015 at her home in Monticello.
She was the widow of Edward R. Graves, a homemaker and a member of Prairie Grove Baptist Church.
Mrs. Graves was born on September 20, 1926 at Wilmot and was the daughter of the late Jasper McBride “Bud” Howell and Olga Tully Howell Graves.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Cecil Howell.
Survivors include two sons, Michael Graves of Monticello and Kevin Graves of Alexander; three daughters, Martha Kirby of Texas, Linda Chastain of Glendale and Tracy Houser of Monticello; one brother, William Tully “W.T.” Graves of Boise, ID; two sisters, Barbara Sue Day of Millers Creek, NC and Joyce Irwin of Olympia, WA; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held on July 11 at 11 a.m. at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel in Montiello with burial in Flat Creek Cemetery. Visitation is July 10 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
