Virginia Norrell Hearn, 98, of Crossett, died on October 5, 2018.
She was a member of the North Crossett First Free Will Baptist Church, a homemaker and a babysitter for more than 30 years.
Mrs. Hearn was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Hearn; a step-grandson that she raised as her own, Clyde B. Cummings; her parents, Oscar and Eunice Curry Norrell; two brothers, Oscar Norrell, Jr. and William E. Norrell, and three sisters, Doris Jenkins, Geneva King and Frances Corker.
She is survived by her granddaughters, Gwenlyn Benefield, and husband, Wade, of Bonneau, South Carolina, Brenda Baldwin of Biloxi, Mississippi and LaNora Hodo of Gulfport, Mississippi; a sister, LeFreda Johnson of Hamburg; 12 great-grandchildren, numerous great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will held on Saturday, October 6 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 7, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with with Bro. Jim Baker and Bro. Gary Willett officiating. Burial will be at the Carlock Cemetery.
Pallbearers are T.J. Maxwell, Carlton Maxwell, Cody King, Religh Christy, Kevin Miller, and Chad Gregg. Honorary pallbearers are Wade Benefield, James Miller, Sr., Mike Herrington, Wayne Neal, and Andrew Wallace.
