Vivian Louise Moring Dutton, 92, of Palmyra, passed away on January 29, 2015 at Lincoln Heights Healthcare in Star City.
Mrs. Dutton was born on March 8, 1922, in the McClum community (Indian Bayou) in Jefferson County to the late J.C. and Ponnie Moring. She was a homemaker who loved her family. She loved cooking for them and anyone else that came by. Hamburgers and breakfasts were her specialty.
She loved going to Lake Chicot fishing and camping with her family. She enjoyed gardening, canning and sewing. The love of her life was serving Jesus Christ and her family. She knew many songs by heart which she sang until her death.
Mrs. Dutton was a member of the Church of Christ at Grady.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Clarence E. Dutton; a son, Tommy Glen Dutton; two grandsons, Timothy Logue Dutton and Kelly Shannon Dutton and a great grandson, Adison Todd Dutton.
She is survived by her sons, Larry (Katie) and Garry (Donna), both of Palmyra; Pam (Larry) Williams of Claremore, Oklahoma; a daughter-in-law, Leslie Dutton of Palmyra; nine grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Harlan (Dorothy) Moring of Kingsland and Herbert (Ollie) Moring of New Edinburg; and one sister, Wanda Sue (Jim) Bratton of Banks.
Visitation will be January 30 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Griffin Funeral Service in Star City.
Graveside services will be held January 31 at 11 a.m. at Palmyra Cemetery with Landon Dutton officiating. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Kip, Mark, Todd, Landon, Jared and Derrick Dutton. The family will be at the home of Garry Dutton, 420 Falcon Rd., Palmyra community.
