Walter John Bordelon, 69, of Eudora died Monday, December 28, 2020, at Chicot Memorial Medical Center in Lake Village.

Walter was born October 7, 1951, in Pineville, Louisiana to his parents, John C. and Mary Edvise (Juneau) Bordelon. He was a faithful member of Oak Grove Freewill Baptist Church.

Walter was a farmhand and trapper in Eudora for many years. Over the last few years, he helped run Gun Smoke Pawn.

He is preceded in death by his son, Luke Bordelon; and four sisters, Mary Lee Tullier, Shirley Powell, Virginia Jones, and Matilda Thibodeaux.

Walter is survived by his wife Shirley Mae (Hunt) Bordelon of Eudora; three daughters, Victoria Washington and husband Kevin of Eudora, Jennifer Bordelon of Eudora, and Anna Welch and husband Ronnie of Kilbourne, Louisiana; one son, John Bordelon of Monroe, Louisiana; eight grandchildren, Jasmine, Christian, Austin, Madison, Dane, Crawford, and Noah; three great-grandchildren, Braydan, Brooklyn, and Cedric; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

A visitation will be held Monday, January 4 from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m., followed by graveside service at 2 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Eudora with Bro. Philip Payne officiating.

Arrangements are by Bishop-King Funeral Home of Lake Village.
